Personal Finance
This year it is mandatory for me to take a personal finance class to maybe avoid a repeat of the world financial idiocy in the previous years. After sitting in the class for a few weeks I've decided I'm going to try and time the market and wait for a disaster, or the calamity and panic coming with December 21, 2012. After every disaster the Stock Exchange takes a dip. So if I was to maybe try and time it and buy stock in mutual funds, if the price goes down. I then leave it alone until college rolls along. Even though it is risky, I'm going to try and get some mutual funds lined up to invest in, maybe look at stocks that pay dividens. Well, all I can do is cross my fingers and hope.

School
So, school has started up again. All my classes are great and I'm looking forward to finishing a perspective piece in Art 3. Math is awful though. I screwed up a few times and my grade can't be in a good place because of it. I'm anxious to do better, and I hope I don't get overwhelmed by the expectations of my Junior year. Regardless I'm sure this year will be great!
Hurricane Issac
So this coming Monday is the Republican Convention. For the second time in a row it will be postponed by the approach of Hurricane Issac. During the 2008 elections a Republican representative had said that he wanted god to rain out the Democratic Convention. Then Hurricane Gustav came and halted the Republican Convention. Conventions are important to giving political candidates a point bump in the polls that may make or break them, making this a significant early on loss to the Romney-Ryan Campaign.
Hurricanes are a impressive and humbling force of nature, or maybe God. Could it maybe be that god is trying to get a message across that he doesn't like the use of his name as a tool of hate and personal gain? Maybe he is even trying to protest the extreme interpretation of the bible that ignores the many aspects of this world he has created. Perhaps to quell this series of storm a change in mind set is needed in the Republican party. Just a thought.
