Back
I haven't posted in a long while, so let me update you. I had exams a week ago. I got A's an B's on all of them except in French where she screwed up and everyone studied what she told us to study then we were tested on exactly the opposite of what she told us to study. By far the worst teacher I've ever had. She argued with me on what she ha written on the board for 2 weeks. We even had her explain it and she argued with me and said that I didn't listen. I wrote down what she told me. She shouldn't be teaching and her existence in the education is a fatal flaw that needs to be fixed. Anyways. I also got done with my Scholastic art awards projects, heres the end result!

Exams
Well, its that time of year for students. semester Exams. If I dont do well then I may have to repeat this semester. This general notion of having to repeat scares me and would guarentee me having to be locked in my house forever. So I won't be posting for awhile because I'll be studying like crazy.

Long time no see!
I'm sorry for not posting as much lately. I've been quite busy. I finally did the landscape from observation and it turned out better than I ever could have imagined. I sincerely hope that I'm accepted into the Saturday school program at the local college. It would be a great opportunity to grow as an artist. I am also have a bit of an inflated ego as of late due to the teacher recommendation I got from one of my old teachers~
I also have a photo I took of my finished landscape piece~

Break!
This week is Thanksgiving break. I am absolutely bursting with excitement for my upcoming goals. First I have to finish a journal project for chemistry, but I excel in writing when I try and sound intellectual so I'm not particularly concerned. Afterwards I'm going to finish my many projects. I have a portrait I've added to my load that I've been told is phenomenal so I'm excited to see what my end product will look like. Then I will finish my bugs which includes finishing the coloring of some and the painting of all of them. I also have changed my pagoda idea a little. Instead of a T-rex destroying the city I'm going to have roots bursting through the city that I'm going to make by twisting paper, and I still plan to keep the same concept. I'm going to write on the roots, that are going to be like an "infection", the same words I would have written on the dinosaur. The idea sort of being that childhood innocence is being infected by the reality of growing up. So hopefully I'll have my plethora of projects finished by the end of Thanksgiving break.
Next week I have a plan to get more people earning rice on Freerice.com. It involves guerilla sorta of art in the form of post-it notes all around my school. I'm going to be sticking them in bathroom stalls on bathroom mirrors, on doors, walls, windows and I'm thinking about putting notes under desks in classes and having it a chain note where multiple people reply. I hope to get people to reply and tell me maybe how much rice they earned. I also plan to send the English teachers at my school an email of an extra credit proposal involving Freerice.com. Hopefully this will all work!

Freerice.com
So, awhile back I discovered a very interesting site called Freerice.com. You go on there and answer vocabulary questions and for every question u answer right 10 grains of rice are given to feed people in Cambodia. I encourage you to give it a try. It's a great program and the rice adds up fast. Even if you only have a few minutes a day to do it. I am going to start having a gadget in my side panel keeping track of how much rice I earn through the program. Feel free to comment about the amounts you get too!

New means more
A few days ago my teacher informed me that she was going to enter a few of my pieces in some west tennessee art show of some sort. So, I have to fill out a sheet, and I'm going to hunt down some of my old work and enter that too. Well, I how it all goes well on that front. My bugs are almost done and I plan to put the finishing touches on them tomorrow. Also Thanksgiving is fast approaching. I'm going to be making pumpkin pie as usual. I have to finish most if not all of my pieces before thanksgiving break ends because after that I'm screwed and wont have any time left. So, crossing my fingers!

Beware
This morning I was astonished to realize that my house is full of hazards. We have metal pegs jutting from the walls on my slick wooden stairs, and a lighter in a drawer full of nail polish. The world is like a death trap and we're walking in it. It makes me apprehensive that I'm going to die in some hysterically disturbed way, like by eating cereal or something. It's just a thought...

Random act of kindness
Today, after art club, while stopping at a gas station to get gum, a woman knocked on our car window. She told me and my mom that she had a blow out on the highway and this woman was helping her get a tire. She needed nine more dollars and the store for the tire closes in 12 minutes. My mom replied that she doesn't have money on her. Then I whipped out 10 dollars and gave it to her. She freaked out and tried to think of a way to pay me back. I hope she got to the store in time...

Elda Varron
Some of you may be confused by the name Elda Varron. Well a few years back I started using that as my name for a lot of accounts and made a character back story for it...
The Story of Elda Varron:
The crow empire started with the great dragon war, between dragon slayers and dragon, the supreme ruling force at the time. One night when the moon was full, Egona, the queen of dragons, flew over a dove nesting area. In panic to hide her egg so she could confront the slayers without putting it in harm she placed it in a dove's nest. The dove's nest was Hanzo. A young dove who had been waiting for his mate to lay an egg. He came back from foraging to find the egg. The queen dragon never did come back for her egg due to her death. So Hanzo adopted the egg as his own. Unfortunately hanzo's mate was killed in the fighting that night. So Hanzo was forced to raise the egg alone. He cared for it like a true mother. Then one day it hatched and a large black bird with color tinted black wings hatched. The bird's name was Nero. He became the first crow. Nero grew up with the doves who soon started noticing odd things happening around Nero. Nero had developed the ability of soulbreathing, or using the spiritual energy of himself and things around him to destroy and block anything that crossed his path. Around the time this stuff started happening more dragons eggs of a lesser breed started getting mixed in with the dove eggs. These were hatching more and more crows. Although none even came close to the amount of power he possessed due to the fact that he descended from one of the most powerful dragons in history. Due to Nero and the other Crow's dragon heritage they started living longer lives. Matching the average life span of a dragon. So it was no surprise when Nero out lived his father who is rumored to have died a crow. Nero eventually found a dove mate which was not approved o by the other crows since they felt they should cut all ties with their ancestors. So they killed Hinata(nero's mate/most magically powerful of the doves) but b4 she died she blessed Nero with future sight so he would never have his life or the lives of his loved ones put in jeopardy again.(this is y u see crows in scary places, they're tryin to warn ya)
thankfully 4 Nero, b4 Hinata died she laid 2 eggs which Nero raised. One hatched a male crow named Varin and the other a female named Lyra. Around this time Nero became leader of the crows due to his great power. Lyra and Varin made names for themselves also. Lyra became known and the Mother Crow. She was known as an orthadox crow who mated in the species and most of her children's traits can b seen in most crows today. Varin was alright in the beginning. He was a very powerful crow. He fell in love with a half human half raven. At this time the ravens and crows were at war too because well... Quite honesty, over racial disputes, ravens believing crows were lower level mutts. The half raven human was actually in line for the crown of the raven empire but due to her mixed breeding she was cast out and exiled. Thats when she met Varin and they fell in love. They had a child and named her Elda Varron. A human crow raven mix and a power house. Master of soulweaving, soulbreathing and the one next in line for the throne of the crows. She was trained by Nero most of her life. Her best friend is a dragon human mix who is in line for the throne of the dragon empire(dragons and crows don't get along). Later after their friendship they discovered that Varin had turned evil. And elda was forced to kill him. Now she prepares to fill the supreme arcane staff with power from all magic species, then she will b crowned ruler of the crows. But completeing this quest requires for her to gain acceptance with all magic creatures she must learn their ways of life.

Late
Ok, so my alarm clock didn't go off this morning, so my bus leaving was my alarm. I freaked out got ready really fast and was done by 7:30 so I went to go see if my mom had gotten up and was ready yet. I could handled a few extra minutes for her to put on her makeup and what not but when I went in there she hadn't even gotten put of bed, she could have been ready in that hour and a half I made sure she had to get ready. But no, mom never cares if I need to not miss 1st period classes. She goes when she wants. That's y she was always late to work.... Well, I'm at school now. I'll have another post this afternoon.

11/11/11 11:11
Today is 11/11/11. This is a special day because its complete 11s across the board, and that means an 11:11 wish is massively more likely to come true. An 11:11 wish is exactly that, a wish made at the time 11:11, pop culture made it up and now its become a huge event. Now since the date is also all 11s its considered to be magical or something and more likely to come true. Thats the best I can explain it. So here is my dilemma, make 2 wishes on both 11:11 times or the same wish at both times to increase the odds of it coming true? I pondered this through much of the night and decided to take my chances and do 2 separate at each time. Also I have to take into account that this will never occur again in my lifetime, so I have to make a wish pertaining to the rest of my life. I came up with 2 VERY good wishes. But I cant tell you these wishes or I might jinx them!
Moving on, I'm going to be trying to finish a few of my SAA projects this weekend. My main focus of interest today in my bug splatters and a little on my eyeball mobil since its basically done. All I have left to do on the bug splatters is draw a sizable portion of the bugs. Then I have to improve on how the bug looks by adding color pencil. After that I have to iron all the notecards I drew the bugs on so they stay flat, and with this I can branch off from the bugs a little and iron the eyes for the eyeball mobile so they will lay flat too. It sounds like a lot more than it actually is. I'm not sure if I'll finish today so I may end up doing some of that tomorrow. I think I now understand what my dad means when he says I'm "high maintenance"

Should the US be the police of the world?
Should the US be the police of the world?
The United States have been interfering in many world conflicts through a vast number of years. The economy has been stressed greatly in past years and now by wars that the US has gotten involved in. Although in some cases it triggered massive growth and built up the United States as a nation. The loss of human life in these international wars is unjustifiable in any case though. PTSD is a large problem amongst the service men of more if not all the wars in our history. But, is it worth it if we can save others from tyranny and torment? We can’t solve all the world’s problems, but it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still endeavor to save whom ever we can. Compassion is human nature; If we ignore our compassion for people then we become self-indulgent monsters and all American values would not exist as once know. For life, so we can’t stand by and let people die. For liberty, to not allow oppression of a people. And the pursuit of happiness, to allow people to live their lives as they please. If we abandon these values are we still the nation we were founded as? We have to help when ever we can, within reason.
First, WWII was one war that actually encouraged economic growth at its end. The country had banded together during this time to mass produce war equipment. At this time women joined the working force in far greater numbers. This was used as a spring board for the women’s rights movement. So, war did in a way help us grow as a country. But the immense casualties and veterans that suffered and are suffering from PTSD as a result was a set back that came with this war. But really, what choice did we have after the attack on Pearl Harbor, and if the US hadn’t gotten involved then who knows how the world would have changed. Without our help in the world tyranny may become a greater force in the world and lead in our own demise.
Second, is saving ourself as a nation from hardship better than letting evil go unchecked. Take Rwanda for intense. Hundreds of thousands of people died in a matter of days due to a lack of international aid, when a group of people were slaughtered. The most that was sent was 200 UN soldiers along with medical supplies from the red cross. Not nearly a sufficient amount of force or amount of aid needed to deal with the out break of violence that engulfed the nation. Due to the lack of action of nations, countless people died. So should we really stand by and watch genocide when we have the power to stop it? Acts of genocide like that of the Holocaust and Rwanda must never be repeated, so if that means we have to be taxed a little then so be it. At least innocent people will not be annihilated because we are uncaring and greedy.
Third, what if we had not helped in Libya. Libya was a great success with no casualties on our side. No US troops were deployed on the ground which made the issue of troop deployment or removal nonexistent or for there to be any post war side effects. The only deployment in the nation of Libya was air based; The air based attack also suffered no casualties by taking out the air defenses of Momar Gahdafi. It really was a simple and effective liberation of the country. And if we had not intervened then maybe hundreds more civilians may have been slaughtered for opposing the tyrant. Human life was easily preserved in this instance, and there was no reason it couldn’t be done. The Untied States is a powerful nation with the resources to help people. And we should do so whenever possible.
In conclusion, human life is too valuable for us to ignore and allow to be extinguished. The United States is a great tool that can be used to do good in the world, and should always strive to do just that. There is no reason we shouldn’t stop a genocide from occurring or allow a dictator to kill his people when they oppose them. We shouldn’t let our own personal self doubt and selfish greed stop us from doing what’s right. The United states needs to always uphold the values it was founded upon, and to eliminate evils across the global. Never should negligence be the demise of any person. Would you watch your neighbor being beat to death and not call the cops, when your phone is in your hand, because you don’t want to exert the effort or endeavor to do good? No one should ever abandon their ever human being when all the tools to help are right in front of them.
Project scramble
Ok, so this friday we have school off. My plan is to try and work on as speedily as possible all my projects and finish at least 2 of my 5 with approaching deadlines, then I can work on the other three on thanksgiving weekend.
Anyways, a new topic can to my attention today,"Should the US be the world police" this is meant like,"should we interfere in worldly events"

New happenings
So I'm grounded for my bad grades. Which I suppose is a good thing.... At least now i will actually focus on my school work like I'm supposed to. School related activities are still allowed so thats a good thing. I am the art club president so it's sorta important that I'm at the meetings. This weekend shows promise of being entertaining. I got recruited by come of my friends to help them with their zombie movie for their film and video class, I'm going to be a zombie and I will be doing the zombie makeup. Also I hope your enjoying the makeover I did to the blog, I drew the background myself. I am now working on a bug splatter project that I plan to enter in scholastic art awards; Im making the bug splatters along with the pagoda project, and I'm also going to take a creative picture of myself in a minute for it too.

Promises
I was thinking last night, "What r my promises in life?"
I thought this cause I was listening to a song called promises(teehee ^_^')
anyways, I came up with a few...
-I will never betray my friends
-I will never spread lies about someone
-I will never like Lima beans no matter how hard I try
-I will never feel sorry for myself
-I will always be there for someone who needs me.
-I will always regret
-I will always hate getting my hair wet
-I will never support the tea party movement.
-I will be ready for a zombie apocalypse
-I will never fit in with "the preps"
Just a few lil facts about me I suppose...

Grades
Well, it finally came, the punishment for my grades. I can't do anything until my dad gets home from work now, and I have to study up until then. I was asking for it. I'm still upset that I'm not allowed to have a social life in anyway anymore. I used to go to my best friends house maybe once a week and then another friends house and maybe another. I was finally havin the social life I had always wanted. Now it's gone. I'm heart broken a lil inside, but I just have to win my life back. The long road ahead looks steep and boring. This is going to be min numbing >~<

It's Halloween. I'm stuck in bed sick again. I seem to always be sick. You see when I was little I had "acid reflex disease" which got worst as I got earlier. Books and art program
Today my mom went to a sale at the library. She got tons of art magazines and books. One had a graphic arts disc. I only just now got my computer fixed for it so I'm gonna play around on it tomorrow. CAN'T WAIT!
Oh, and I've also come up with human trafficking as another social/human needs issue that I could research. More to come!

Serenity
I'm sorry I didn't post yesterday, I sort of had a few kinds of drama going on. I got my report card and it had a 70, this is unacceptable and my dad will lose it. It's only the 1st quarter so I'm going to try and pull up second quarter to a 85 at least and even it out. Then exams should fix it a little more. I also had a little bit of relationship issues which have now been worked out and I am so relieved.
Anyways, today I got commissioned by one of the other students to do a piece for him. He will pay up to $50, I'm going to tally up the costs and have $15 or $20 for labor(it's a 11x14 piece) and tell him cost from that. This is the second time people have offered me money for me doing art. Im anxious to get started( I'm broke and need money for the upcoming holidays ^_^')
But for now I have to finish another piece for art, it's an accordion art poem thing... I just finished but I gotta fix some of the photos on my computer so here are the covers...

Yesterday after posting I had a little incedent. I fell down a flight of stairs on my back and elbows. So everyone who believes in karma here's something to think about. I am nice and kind to everyone, I help people whenever possible, I offer half my locker to people so they won't be late, and yet still bad things happen to me. The cosmos doesn't seem to particularly like me... Anyways, I guess I'll tell you about my recent project. It's for Scholastic art competion, if you win(or get accepted for that matter) you get put in an exhibit at the Brooks art museum which is a huge honor. The last 2 yrs I have tried to get in I got rejected, all 10 pieces. Anyways my idea is to make a piece based on words. I am going to make a pagoda city and write words on the buildings like innocence, justice, carefree, kindness, etc and then I'm going to make a giant Trex an write on him things like: greed, selfishness, evil, money, manipulation. It will basically be a distruction of good in the face of evil idea piece. I'm also playing with the idea to tear out pages of a dictionary and circling words and using that as the base. Anyways, here's what I have so far....

Greetings
Hi... I suppose this will be my first post.... I can wait to start showing you guys my art and the causes that I plan to start looking for that will inspire me. I guess I will start by showing you my recent diversity piece... Oh and here is the description i gave with it before I entered it into a contest, which I will be sure to tell you how that goes.
Anyways here it is....
Title: One=Many
"My piece expresses that diversity is how we are different, but are in a way still one people. The baby signifies our foundation or roots, a simple body. Then from the roots we branch off, as also shown, and become so many different forms of the same foundation. We all started out exactly the same. We all had the same amount of chromosome, and each of have no real guess on how we will look, talk or act over time. You can be born of so many different ethnicities and later become part of different social groups. Becoming diverse in your own way, but your still a person with all the same building blocks as everyone else. Meaning that you are born with a blank slate, the same as everyone else, and then you become so many variations of the form. I tried to express that idea with my art. In that we are diverse in what we become."
