Daunting Task

I am faced with the fleeting time more then ever now. I have this weekend and next week to finish painting and draw a charcoal portrait. I would have been farther by now but I had the flu for Thanksgiving break and was forced to stay in bed for 3 days. However, there is no use dwelling on the past, I have to finish my art projects and unfortunately the sudden bombardment of multiple essays. And then after I hopefully survive next week, I have to worry about upcoming midterms the week after. I'm spread thin. I really feel bad for butter...

I would eliminate the portrait to give myself a little breathing room, but the widow of the man I'm drawing was so happy and proud, I could never take that away from her and back out now. She was so excited she bragged to her whole church about it. I really hope I win, it would really be a beautiful thing for her to know that her husband is still effecting us, almost immortalized by our love for him and by a portrait I hope.
